Settle, beneath the imposing limestone of Castlebergh Rock, is the thriving Market Town serving the local communities of Malham & The Three Peaks, as it has since its market charter in 1249.

The market is held every Tuesday, in the Square, overlooked by the historic buildings of the shambles and the Town Hall. The market square is also home to a local farmers market on the second Sunday of the month.

Settle station is the start of the famous Settle Carlisle line and the town is also very popular with walkers, being in close proximity to the renowned ‘Three Peaks’ of Ingleborough, Penyghent & Whernside. The area is also a popular destination for climbing, caving and pot holing.

Events in Settle are many and varied, the town is blessed with a very active community and there is something happening almost every day of the year.
